THROUGH

“THE BHAGWAD GITA”

“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.”

We in our daily lives are largely engrossed and exhausted with many trysts (errands) and commitments. There should be a little time we all should pick up from our daily engagements where we should have a small session with ourselves and family regarding the journey of “life to a beautiful life”. We mostly enforce our children to focus on the supplements like Math, Science etc that are needed to earn a living in the future. Most of us evade the fact that our life needs nutrients accomplished with serenity, compassion and reliance.

“The Bhagwad Gita” through its splendid journey can nurture our life with these vital nutrients.

Interpretation of some of the verses from “The Bhagwad Gita”

That one is dear to me who runs not after the pleasant or away from the painful, grieves not, lusts not, but lets things come and go as they happen.

There are three gates to this self-destructive hell: lust, anger, and greed. Renounce these three.

Whatever you do, make it an offering to me – the food you eat, the sacrifices you make, the help you give, even your suffering.

The meaning of Karma is in the intention. The intention behind action is what matters. Those who are motivated only by desire for the fruits of action are miserable, for they are constantly anxious about the results of what they do

You have the right to work, but never to the fruit of work. You should never engage in action for the sake of reward, nor should you long for inaction.

Calmness, gentleness, silence, self-restraint, and purity: these are the disciplines of the mind.

The ignorant people work for their own profit, Arjuna; the wise work for the welfare of the world, without thought for themselves.
