‘Spirit of Spring’ by Bhartiya Community, China hit another milestone and proved that Indian community in Shanghai represents a mini India that contains the warmth and affection among people which is the base of our Indian culture.
It was a family fun fair comprising of all the spectacular elements of a carnival. Venue was Shimao Club House that needs no introduction, and the date was 9th of April. We all were lucky enough to have a lovely weather on that day.
This event was divided in sections-
Stalls of women entrepreneurs (indoors)
Sports and games (outdoors)
Lunch and Tea (indoors)
Prize distribution & other attractions (indoors)
Our Consulate General Mr. Prakash Gupta graced the occasion by his presence. For the grand success of the ‘Spirit of Spring’, we thank him for being a motivating force behind it.
He visited each and every stall and talked with the vendors about their businesses and wished them all good luck.
Not only this, he also gave standing ovation to our lovely dance performers and cheered the kids on the sports ground. Even though his visit was short but it fueled enthusiasm among the people there. We can’t thank him enough for giving us his precious time and encouraging us all.
Women entrepreneurs were quite satisfied by their sales, services or promotion; their stalls were crowded throughout.
On the other, hand kids were busy outside participating in the races and games organized for them.
NLP Coach Jeff Tan of REV talked about ‘perception’ and impressed everyone by his profound and convincing talk.
Scrumptious food from Kebabs on the Grille and their superb service was the highlight of the event.
All in all it was a complete family fun package. We thank our lovely guests, hardworking vendors, devoted panel members, enthusiastic performers, and impromptu anchors for making this event possible.
